It’s not hard to understand why there is so much talk about the coming of Jesus happening soon among many Christians in the world today. Multiple things could certainly be seen as pointing to that highly anticipated event. All you have to do is search YouTube, and you will find endless videos from many Bible prophecy teachers, explaining the latest indicators in a growing list of things pointing to the Lord’s return. There is no question that all the information out there can be pretty compelling. And remember, Jesus did say to us, “Now when these things begin to happen, LOOK UP and lift up your heads, BECAUSE YOUR REDEMPTION DRAWS NEAR!” (Luke 21:28).

Over the last few months, many prophecy teachers have suggested that if Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection occurred in 33 A.D fulfilling the three Jewish spring feasts of Passover, Unleavened Bread, and First Fruits, then the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ that we read about in Revelation 19:11-16, might happen in 2033. Jesus could at that time fulfill the three Jewish fall feasts of Trumpets, Atonement, and Tabernacles, exactly 2000 years since He last walked on the earth. If this could be a possible scenario, then the physical return of Jesus might take place during the Feast of Trumpets, which will be celebrated from September 23rd to the 25th in 2033.

Those dates in September of 2033 are very interesting. Here’s why. Almost all prophecy teachers believe that before Jesus returns, there will be a time of tribulation on the earth that Jesus spoke of in Matthew 24 and Luke 21. John gives details of this time in Revelation chapters 6 through 19. This will all take place during the 7 years prior to the return of Jesus coming WITH His followers (Revelation 19:14). Bible prophecy teachers believe this time of tribulation begins with the confirmation of a 7-year covenant with Israel by a person who many believe will be the devil’s coming Antichrist. Perhaps the Abraham Accords have something to do with this? Just a thought. Regardless, Daniel 9:27 says this person will break the covenant in the middle of the 7 years. After 3-1/2 years. Here’s where things get a little interesting.

These 7 years are seen in other passages as being broken into two 3-1/2-year time periods. These two separate time segments are referred to in Revelation 12:14 and Daniel 7:25 & 12:7 as “a time (1), times (2), and half-a-time (1/2),“ in Revelation 11:2 & 13:5 as “42 months,” and “1260 days” in Revelation 11:3 & 12:6. It’s important to note something here: the Jewish calendar only has 360 days. That means the 7-year Tribulation will have TWO 3-1/2-year time periods of 1,260 days, for a total of 2,520 days. And here is why that number of days MIGHT be very significant.

IF Jesus returns to fulfill the Feast of Trumpets in 2033 to end the 7-year time of tribulation, that obviously means the Tribulation would have to begin 7 years, or 2,520 days, BEFORE that. And if you subtract 2,520 days from the Feast of Trumpets, September 24th to be exact, you will come to…wait for it… October 31st, 2026! That’s right. HALLOWEEN of THIS YEAR! Now think about this. What better time for the devil to begin his final 7-year battle against God that he thinks he’s going to win than on the day that represents him! Halloween. And it just happens to be the most well-known pagan holiday that has been celebrating evil, death, and the devil around the whole world since even before the time of Christ! Is that just a coincidence? We will have to wait and see.

Now this is just one possible scenario among many of when people think the Lord might return. We don’t know for sure when this will all happen. But Jesus told us to be watching! I’m only sharing what I have seen. What we do know for sure is there IS a day when Jesus will return, and many things are pointing to His coming soon. THE ONLY IMPORTANT THING IS WILL YOU BE COMING WITH HIM WHEN HE DOES? If you don’t know FOR SURE, here’s some “Good News” for you. God has made it possible for us to escape the coming judgment that He is going to bring on the earth. “Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man” (Luke 21:36). Only Jesus can save us. “For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath, but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Thessalonians 5:9). That’s really good news!

So let me ask one last question: Have you ever asked Jesus to save you? The thief on the cross said to Jesus, “Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom” (Luke 23:42). He never joined a church, never raised his hand, walked the aisle, or said “The Sinners Prayer.” He was never baptized, never sang a hymn, attended Sunday school, or even put a penny in the offering. He only understood he was receiving the wages of his sin. And knowing that, he did the only thing anyone must do to be saved and enter the kingdom of heaven. He turned to the only One who could forgive his sin. And Jesus replied to him, “Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise” (Luke 23:43).

Like the thief, no one has a guarantee of tomorrow. “Today is the day of salvation!” (2 Corinthians 6:2). “Whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved!” (Romans 10:13). That’s what the thief did. I pray you have too!

“If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” – Romans 10:9-10
