The “Great American Eclipse” is Coming!

So what’s really going on? What’s with all the X stuff? Is this all JUST a coincidence?

Does X mark the spot? Have you noticed all the things that are using the X lately?

We have Space X, Planet X, Disease X, Fragile X Syndrome, Tesla Model X, BMW Class X, Twitter is now “X” and iPhone X.  Not to mention, X Box, X Men, Generation X, The X Files, and Xfinity 10G (X is 10 in Roman Numerals). I also can’t help but think of how God sent the 10 (X) plagues as judgment upon Egypt for not letting the people of Israel go. And the place where the two eclipses cross is a place called Little Egypt in southern Illinois, 7 years apart! Wow!

With everything else that has been going on in the world over the last few years, maybe God is trying to tell us something. X-Day IS coming. But it’s not what people may think!

“And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity,…Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.” – Luke 21:25-28

The day of the Great American Eclipse will pass. What else happens on that day no one can know, but one thing we can be sure of, we will continue to see the increasing of the signs that are pointing to the return of Jesus Christ. Ezekiel 38 & 39, Matthew 24, Luke 21, Revelation 6-19, and many other passages are all on the horizon. Not to mention all that is happening right now. There is much more to be thinking about than the coming four minute eclipse!

The most important question to answer is, what side will you be on when Jesus returns? Will you be for Him, or against Him? It’s literally a matter of eternal life or eternal death, and the choice is yours.

“Behold, now is the acceptable time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” – 2 Corinthians 6:2

Jesus is coming soon! Put your faith and trust in His death, burial, and resurrection today (1 Corinthians 15:1-4 & Ephesians 2:8-9). For many, tomorrow will be too late. Don’t let that be you!

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever BELIEVES in Him will not perish but have everlasting life.” – John 3:16
