In a few days, on September 22nd-24th, the Jews around the world will be celebrating what they call the Feast of Trumpets, or Rosh Hashanah. For them, it is the celebration of their New Year Festival, which commemorates God’s creation of the world. It is also a time to make a fresh start in life, like our New Year’s resolutions.

To announce this festival, Jews will conduct the traditional blowing of the Shofar, a trumpet made from a ram’s horn that is blown 100 times. The final blast of the ram’s horn is known as the Last Trumpet and is the longest of the 100 blasts sounded.
Why Is This So Important?
For believers in Jesus Christ, this special feast could possibly hold great significance. Since Jesus fulfilled the first four of the seven Jewish feasts with His death at the Feast of Passover, His burial at the Feast of Unleaven Bread, His resurrection at the Feast of Firstfruits, and the coming of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost, many believe the Feast of Trumpets will be the next that He fulfills.
Many Christians look at the Feast of Trumpets as the time when Jesus will come to bring all who have put their faith in Him to their new home in heaven, as He promised in John 14.
“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also” (John 14:1-3). Did you catch that? Jesus is coming to “receive” us to Himself!

The Apostle Paul gives us vivid details of how this will happen in 1 Corinthians 15 and 1 Thessalonians 4.
“Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed—in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.” – 1 Corinthians 15:51-52
“For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.” – 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17
Could This Be The Time?
God’s Word promises all this to those who have trusted in Jesus as their Savior from our sin. He is the only One who can rescue us from the tribulation that we can see coming right around the corner.

So could this all happen when the Shofar sounds the “Last Trumpet” in a few days? It could. And if it does, talk about a “fresh start” in life! With everything that is happening in our crazy world today, a fresh start sounds pretty good to me.
But even if this isn’t the time, the most important question is, no matter when the day comes, will YOU be ready when the trumpet blows?
Here’s Your Invitation!

The only way you can take part when that day happens is by believing in what Jesus has done at the cross and putting your faith in His finished work for us. If you do that, the sounding of the Last Trumpet will announce the best day you could ever imagine! And He has invited everyone to take part! [Click Here for Your Wedding Invitation]
“For it is by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” – Ephesians 2:8-9

If you have yet to trust in Jesus as your Savior, I pray you would accept His free gift of grace and join with us in the biggest celebration that will ever happen.
“Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” – 2 Corinthians 5:20-21
Ask Him to save you today. His answer is always “Yes” and “Amen!” (2 Corinthians 1:20). Trust in Him today and receive His blood-bought gift that lasts forever!
God bless!
