TODAY’S U.N.C.L.E. MISSION REMINDER – 06.10.2023.

We are one day closer to the coming of the One who has removed all our sin forever, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! Keep looking up!

“For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.” – Psalm 103:11-12

There is a definite point that is “north” and another that is “south” on the globe, the North and South Poles. But there are NO such points for “east” and “west”. No matter how far you go to the east, you will NEVER arrive where west begins. The two do not meet. They will never meet and never could meet. When God says He removes our transgressions “as far as the east is from the west”, He is telling us He puts them where no one can ever find them. That is the gift of forgiveness God has offered to all. We must simply accept that gift in faith, and recognize Him as the giver.

Lord, thank You for the forgiveness You have given us through faith in Your Son, Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world. Amen!

God bless you all on our Mission as we wait for His return!

We are one day closer to the return of the One who is always there for us, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! Keep looking up!

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” – Psalm 46:1

Did you know that 1.3 million earths could fit into the size of the sun? Yet, when the sun gets low on the horizon and glaring in our eyes, all we have to do is put our hand up and block it out. The reason this is possible is obvious. Our hand, even though it is very small, is near to us. The sun, although extremely large, is very far away. Sometimes, when we experience problems in our lives, and because they are so near to us, we allow them to block out the fact that God is bigger and can help us overcome any of our problems. Let’s make sure we stay close to God so we can keep things in proper perspective, especially during these troubling times.

Lord, help us to remember that You are always near to us as our refuge, and ready to give us the strength we need in any time of trouble. Amen.

May the Lord bless you all on our Mission for Him every day!

We are one day closer to the return of the One who gives us strength for living every day, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.” – Colossians 3:16

Think about the difference between a strong and a weak cup of tea. The exact same ingredients are used for both. The difference is, the stronger cup results from the tea remaining in the water for more time, allowing more tea to get into the water. The longer the steeping process, the stronger the tea. In the same way, the length of time we spend in God’s Word determines how deeply it gets into us. Just like tea, the more time we are in the Word, the “stronger” we become.

Lord, help us to never neglect the time we need in the Word, that we may remain strong in our walk with You. Amen.

We are one day closer to the return of the One who speaks to us through His Word, our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ! Keep looking up!

“I cry out with my whole heart; Hear me, O Lord! I will keep Your statutes. I cry out to You; Save me, and I will keep Your testimonies. I rise before the dawning of the morning, And cry for help; I hope in Your word. My eyes are awake through the night watches, That I may meditate on Your word.” – Psalm 119:145-148

Do these words describe your love for God and His Word? Like David, we are all far from where we could be in our relationship with the Lord. But the only way our love and desire for Him can grow is when we spend time with Him. And the only way we can know what He wants for our lives is by getting into His Word. David understood this and even though he had his failings, God still called him “a man after my own heart”. Why? Because of his great love for God’s Word! We are certainly living in perilous times, and God is speaking to us louder than ever. I pray we love Him enough to take time to listen.

Lord, put the desire in our hearts that will cause us to seek Your Word constantly while we are on our Mission for You. God bless you all!

We are one day closer to the return of the One who is coming to bring in His harvest, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! Keep looking up!

“He even said to me, ‘Stay with my workers until they finish harvesting all my grain.'” – Ruth 2:21

As the workday gets closer to the end, the workers in the field certainly grow more tired with each minute. We, as “God’s workmanship”, may even get discouraged seeing “so much rubbish” that is all around us. But we can be encouraged! The Day is coming when the “harvesting” of all his grain will be “finished”. Until then, “Lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest!” (John 4:35). And keep up the good work, “For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works” (Matthew 16:27).

Lord, may your Spirit give us strength and encouragement to keep working in your field, until the Day You call us home! Amen!

We are one day closer to the return of our faithful Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ! Keep looking up!

“Help, Lord, for no one is faithful anymore; those who are loyal have vanished from the human race.” – Psalm 12:1

Do you ever wonder, “What are we to do?”, as the world continues to move away from God? Let me suggest that this may be a very good time to open the Psalms and refresh yourselves with all the Lord is going to do.

“He said to them, ‘This is what I told you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and THE PSALMS'” [emphasis added] – Luke 24:44.

The world may look like it’s a lost cause, but the One who said He will help us will do what He said! You can count on it!

Lord, thank You for the promises in Your Word and that we can hold on to the hope we find in each one of them. May we take them with us on our Mission with You every day! Amen!

We are one day closer to the return of the One who has won the victory over sin and death, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! Keep looking up!

“So the Lord God said to the serpent, ‘Because you have done this, cursed are you above all livestock and all wild animals! You will crawl on your belly and you will eat dust all the days of your life. And I will put hostility between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.'” – Genesis 3:14-15

We recognize this account in the Bible as being the pronouncement of God’s curse on the serpent, or, as we commonly know him, the devil. This prophetic declaration came as a result of his deceiving Eve to believe his word over God’s word, with Adam following suit. God would have no mercy on the one who caused His most loved creation to fall into sin, and as a result, the clock of ultimate judgment started at that very moment, and will end with the crushing of Satan’s head.

But, along the way, the One who would do the head crushing came and was struck on “his heel” to pay the penalty for the sin that had entered the world. That person is Jesus Christ, the only one ever born of the Holy Spirit through a virgin woman. He died as the only sacrifice that can remove our sin passed down from Adam, if we believe in Him. And because Jesus rose from the dead, ascended to heaven and is seated next to God the Father, we can have the assurance that He will come again to fulfill His promise to destroy the one who caused sin to enter the world.

The clock is ticking, and we can see the signs God has given, telling us, the coming of the “King of kings and Lord of lords” (Revelation 19:16) is near. My hope is that everyone who reads this is ready for that day. If not, I pray you will put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ, the One who died and rose victorious from the grave, and paid the penalty for the sin passed down from Adam to each one of us.

Lord, thank You for the promise of Your victorious return! May we serve You with that hope in our hearts on our Mission, until You come again! May God bless you all!

We are one day closer to the return of the One who saves us by His grace, the Lord Jesus Christ! Keep looking up!

“For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.” – Titus 2:11-14

Let these verses sink in, for Paul covers all the bases of what God has done for us, and all by His loving grace. He “appeared” to JUSTIFY us by the sacrifice of His Son and to give us a new life by His grace, and to SANCTIFY us by His grace, teaching us to live “godly lives” by the power of His Spirit, and finally, to GLORIFY us by His grace, on the Day of His appearing determined by the Father that we “wait” for. What an amazing gift God’s redeeming grace is! I pray it’s a gift we’ll use every day!

Lord, may we always live in the light of Your glorious grace on our Mission for You! God bless you all!

We are one day closer to the return of the One who has won the battle over the devil, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! Keep looking up!

“The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie, and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.” – 2 Thessalonians 2:9-10

From the first time that the Adversary said, “Did God really say…” (Genesis 3:1), the Word of Truth has been under attack. And the list of how God’s Word and those who follow the Truth have been attacked is endless. That is because it is “The Word of God”, the Lord Jesus Christ (Revelation 19:13), that will ultimately prevail against the devil and all his lies and deceptions that have led countless souls to a godless eternity. And Satan is not done yet. The greatest deception is still to come, and the conditions in our world are ripe for the Deceiver to make his move. And when he does, it may appear that his deception is working, but it will ultimately be his biggest mistake. “And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming” (2 Thessalonians 2:8). Praise God Almighty!

Brothers and sisters, let’s make sure we put on the full armor of God every day so that we don’t fall victim to the devil’s attacks. And may the Lord give us the boldness and the strength to faithfully share the Truth of His Word, that many may be saved from what is coming!

Lord, give us the wisdom we need to help others see the deceptions of our enemy and come to the saving truth of Your Word, for Your glory! Amen. God bless you all on our Mission today!

We are one day closer to the return of the One who is coming to change the world forever, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! Keep looking up!

“May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else, just as ours does for you. May he strengthen your hearts so that you will be blameless and holy in the presence of our God and Father when our Lord Jesus comes with all his holy ones.” – 1 Thessalonians 3:12-13

If you could be granted ONE wish, what would it be? That is a question that, from time to time, I’m sure we’ve all heard. And although it is a rhetorical question, still, what would your answer truly be? I’m not going to speculate on what some responses might be, but, having just a bit of knowledge of what has gone on in the world over time, may I share what my wish would be? It would be for God’s perfect love to become the new way of life for everyone in the world, and that it would, as Paul writes, “increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else”.

Think of what that might look like. Could that ever happen? Yes, in fact, that day is coming! But it won’t happen as the result of a wish. It will only come about due to the ultimate creation of “a new heaven and a new earth where righteousness dwells” (2 Peter 3:13), AND the transforming power of the Gospel for anyone who will believe and trust in Jesus as their Savior. My prayer for all who read this is that they have placed their faith in the only One who can answer that wish — the Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, that we might truly live in His love forever!

Lord, although our time here may be short, help us to be an expression of Your love to all we meet, on our Mission for You, every day! God bless you all!
