“Help, Lord, for no one is faithful anymore; those who are loyal have vanished from the human race.” – Psalm 12:1
Do you ever wonder, “What are we to do?”, as the world continues to move away from God? Let me suggest that this may be a very good time to open the Psalms and refresh yourselves with all the Lord is going to do.
“He said to them, ‘This is what I told you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and THE PSALMS'” [emphasis added] – Luke 24:44.
The world may look like it’s a lost cause, but the One who said He will help us will do what He said! You can count on it!
Lord, thank You for the promises in Your Word and that we can hold on to the hope we find in each one of them. May we take them with us on our Mission with You every day! Amen!

“So the Lord God said to the serpent, ‘Because you have done this, cursed are you above all livestock and all wild animals! You will crawl on your belly and you will eat dust all the days of your life. And I will put hostility between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.'” – Genesis 3:14-15
We recognize this account in the Bible as being the pronouncement of God’s curse on the serpent, or, as we commonly know him, the devil. This prophetic declaration came as a result of his deceiving Eve to believe his word over God’s word, with Adam following suit. God would have no mercy on the one who caused His most loved creation to fall into sin, and as a result, the clock of ultimate judgment started at that very moment, and will end with the crushing of Satan’s head.
But, along the way, the One who would do the head crushing came and was struck on “his heel” to pay the penalty for the sin that had entered the world. That person is Jesus Christ, the only one ever born of the Holy Spirit through a virgin woman. He died as the only sacrifice that can remove our sin passed down from Adam, if we believe in Him. And because Jesus rose from the dead, ascended to heaven and is seated next to God the Father, we can have the assurance that He will come again to fulfill His promise to destroy the one who caused sin to enter the world.
The clock is ticking, and we can see the signs God has given, telling us, the coming of the “King of kings and Lord of lords” (Revelation 19:16) is near. My hope is that everyone who reads this is ready for that day. If not, I pray you will put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ, the One who died and rose victorious from the grave, and paid the penalty for the sin passed down from Adam to each one of us.
Lord, thank You for the promise of Your victorious return! May we serve You with that hope in our hearts on our Mission, until You come again! May God bless you all!
We are one day closer to the return of the One who saves us by His grace, the Lord Jesus Christ! Keep looking up!
“For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.” – Titus 2:11-14
Let these verses sink in, for Paul covers all the bases of what God has done for us, and all by His loving grace. He “appeared” to JUSTIFY us by the sacrifice of His Son and to give us a new life by His grace, and to SANCTIFY us by His grace, teaching us to live “godly lives” by the power of His Spirit, and finally, to GLORIFY us by His grace, on the Day of His appearing determined by the Father that we “wait” for. What an amazing gift God’s redeeming grace is! I pray it’s a gift we’ll use every day!
Lord, may we always live in the light of Your glorious grace on our Mission for You! God bless you all!

“The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie, and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.” – 2 Thessalonians 2:9-10
From the first time that the Adversary said, “Did God really say…” (Genesis 3:1), the Word of Truth has been under attack. And the list of how God’s Word and those who follow the Truth have been attacked is endless. That is because it is “The Word of God”, the Lord Jesus Christ (Revelation 19:13), that will ultimately prevail against the devil and all his lies and deceptions that have led countless souls to a godless eternity. And Satan is not done yet. The greatest deception is still to come, and the conditions in our world are ripe for the Deceiver to make his move. And when he does, it may appear that his deception is working, but it will ultimately be his biggest mistake. “And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming” (2 Thessalonians 2:8). Praise God Almighty!
Brothers and sisters, let’s make sure we put on the full armor of God every day so that we don’t fall victim to the devil’s attacks. And may the Lord give us the boldness and the strength to faithfully share the Truth of His Word, that many may be saved from what is coming!
Lord, give us the wisdom we need to help others see the deceptions of our enemy and come to the saving truth of Your Word, for Your glory! Amen. God bless you all on our Mission today!
We are one day closer to the return of the One who is coming to change the world forever, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! Keep looking up!
“May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else, just as ours does for you. May he strengthen your hearts so that you will be blameless and holy in the presence of our God and Father when our Lord Jesus comes with all his holy ones.” – 1 Thessalonians 3:12-13
If you could be granted ONE wish, what would it be? That is a question that, from time to time, I’m sure we’ve all heard. And although it is a rhetorical question, still, what would your answer truly be? I’m not going to speculate on what some responses might be, but, having just a bit of knowledge of what has gone on in the world over time, may I share what my wish would be? It would be for God’s perfect love to become the new way of life for everyone in the world, and that it would, as Paul writes, “increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else”.
Think of what that might look like. Could that ever happen? Yes, in fact, that day is coming! But it won’t happen as the result of a wish. It will only come about due to the ultimate creation of “a new heaven and a new earth where righteousness dwells” (2 Peter 3:13), AND the transforming power of the Gospel for anyone who will believe and trust in Jesus as their Savior. My prayer for all who read this is that they have placed their faith in the only One who can answer that wish — the Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, that we might truly live in His love forever!
Lord, although our time here may be short, help us to be an expression of Your love to all we meet, on our Mission for You, every day! God bless you all!
We are one day closer to the return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, the One who is coming to save us from the coming wrath! Keep looking up!
“For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him. Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:9-11
It doesn’t take much to see how evil and disturbing things have become in the world. And the deeper you dig, the darker it becomes. But we, as believers in Jesus Christ, have hope in the promises of God to encourage and build us up as we serve the One who gave His life so that we may live with Him! Keep up the good work, brothers and sisters, and be encouraged. I think the Day we are all waiting for will be here soon!
May the living hope we have in Jesus, encourage and comfort each one of us, as we serve Him on our Mission today, waiting for our blessed tomorrow! God bless you all!

“Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and our God and Father, who has loved us and given us everlasting consolation and good hope by grace, comfort your hearts and establish you in every good word and work.” – 2 Thessalonians 2:16-17
Paul covers all the bases here with his words of encouragement to the Thessalonian believers who were going through a very hard time. There are two words in this passage we need to remember that will help deepen our appreciation for the love, consolation, hope, and comfort God gives us. Those words are “by grace”. We can’t even begin to truly understand all that God has blessed us with, yet alone grasp the fact that everything we receive comes as a gift none of us deserves. And add to all of this the fact they will be ours FOREVER! I echo Paul’s prayer for each of you. We have an awesome heavenly Father! God bless you all!

“The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.” – 1 Timothy 4:1
We believe God’s Word teaches the Lord will come to remove His Bride, all born-again believers in Jesus Christ, to keep us “from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth” (Revelation 3:10). When that happens, following “deceiving spirits and things taught by demons” will be the norm. It’s no wonder Jesus said, “But when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?” (Luke 18:8).
Brothers and sisters, I pray we all continue to do the work He has given us “while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work” (John 9:4). Let’s be diligent to “contend for the faith” (Jude 1:3), and ask the Lord to use us to reach those we know that they may be saved from what is to come. May our prayer be like that of Paul, “Brothers, my heart’s desire and prayer to God concerning them is for their salvation!” – Romans 10:1
Lord, may our faith be seen in all we do on our Mission for You, until You return! May God bless you all!

“Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to Him,…” – 2 Thessalonians 2:1
It may be hard to believe, but there are many people, even in the church, who do not understand what Paul is meaning here. We know the Lord is coming, but what is this gathering? Well, this exciting event is what we are patiently waiting and longing for as believers in Jesus Christ. I could give you my thoughts on it, but I think it’s best to let Paul, inspired by the Holy Spirit, give the explanation.
“I declare to you, brothers and sisters, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed—in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality.” – 1 Corinthians 15:50-53
“Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage one another with these words.” – 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

What can I add to THAT! We serve an awesome Lord who IS coming again! Until then, whenever it may be, it would be good for us to be like Enoch. “Enoch walked faithfully with God; then he was no more, because God took him away” (Genesis 5:24).
Lord Jesus, may we keep our eyes on things above while we work for You here on earth, as we wait for Your return! Amen.

We are one day closer to the return of the One who sanctifies us, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! Keep looking up!
“May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24
How thankful we can be for the work of sanctification that God is doing in our lives. It is the process of being set apart TO God, and set free FROM sin. That sounds like a huge task, and indeed it is! Which is precisely why Paul says, “The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it.” The process may not look the same in each believer’s life, but the results will be. Don’t ever forget that if you have received God’s gift of eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ, we have the promise that “He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ” (Philippians 1:6). And that Day could be very soon!
Lord, help us to stay out of the way as You finish the work You are doing in our lives, while we serve You on our Mission every day! God bless you all!
